I am (with all my heart) a freelance journalist with a focus on sports, culture and travels. I’m a regular author of magazines such as BIKE, EMTB and Bergwelten, I supervise the bike and adventure segments of Red Bull Online Germany, contribute to the city portal Mit Vergnügen München and work as a documentary scriptwriter for Servus TV.
I write. A lot. I love the multiple formats of writing, of telling stories and transporting messages. What all of my projects have in common: they are not rigid, they don’t follow the status quo. That’s simply because I’m not good in writing standard phrases and texts. They don’t captivate, they don’t inspire. I work for and with clients who believe in their strengths and individuality and want to carve out their own unique language and content.
Translation work has financed my years at university – and beyond – and has also (surprisingly) fascinated me. After finishing my PhD I did a lot of translation for sports brands. Today journalism, copywriting, workshops and consulting are my main focus and I can only be persuaded to translate if it’s an exciting project – although that’s a pretty wide field...
Since 2015 I’ve been working primarily as a journalist writing for well-established magazines as well as young, exciting platforms. I embrace the diversity of media. I strongly believe in traditional formats, but love the agility, changes, and fresh challenges. I also work as a copywriter creating magazines for brands and destinations, I teach writing and marketing workshops and have initiated projects such as the eMTB tourism study days. That sounds like a lot. And it is. But most of all it is a lot of fun.
